expanded polystyrene foam:compuset hotwire contour cutter
The Wintech Compuset Hotwire Contour Cutter is designed to allow the efficient cutting of EPS using up to 40 computer loaded and spaced hotwires. Once loaded all wires move in parallel cutting up to forty complex two dimensional shapes at a time. Wintech’s Compuset Contour Cutter allows you to take advantage of the dramatic increase in productivity that comes with multiple wire cutting without the overhead of long setup times between jobs. The machine’s open frame layout simplifies block handling and makes the machine very transportable. The Compuset can also be ordered as a variable width machine allowing the machine’s cutting to be changed on site. It can then be setup for the occasional wide cutting job without needing to use the extra floor space all of the time. The Compuset System is available as a standalone machine or can be optionally fitted to Wintech’s Fastwire Contour Cutter. Like all of Wintech’s machines, the Compuset is controlled by the simple-to-use Wintech assisted design, nesting and machine control program that makes the operation of the machine easy to staff at all levels. what you can do with a wintech compuset system?
single wire profilingFor large shapes or low volume work, only a single wire need be loaded. Using the powerful Wintech Profiler Software, new shapes are quickly drawn and nested or existing ones loaded, and then cut. A variety of shapes can be profiled in one block.
multiple wire profilingMost smaller profiles can be cut simultaneously with multiple hot-wires in rows. The combination of rapid setup, accuracy and speed all result in significantly higher productivity than single wire cutting.
single pass profilingSome profiles, where the top and bottom edges may fit together along a common line, can be cut in a single pass using multiple hot-wires. This not only provides a higher speed of processing, but also improved usage of the foam block.
sheet cuttingIn addition to simple sheet cutting, the Compuset’s multiple wires can also be programmed to move up and down. This allows sheets and rectangular pieces to be cut to desired thickness and length in one simple process. foams cuts:
